Kent Cleaners Limited has been in business in Peterborough for over 60 years. We started out with one plant housing 1800 square feet of space. With the specialization of textile restoration, additional space became a necessity, and in 1991 an addition was completed making the facility 4000 square feet. Since this time, we have secured an additional storage facility, in Peterborough. The Pido warehouse is 1500 square feet, double-tiered bringing us to a total of 5500 square feet of space.
Kent Cleaners Limited (Total Textile Solutions Central Ontario) is the only specialized textile restoration dry cleaner in Central Ontario This elite group of textile restoration specialists meets twice yearly to share ideas and technical knowledge.
We employ 12 people, including 1 dry cleaner certified by the Province of Ontario as meeting environmental codes set out by the provincial government. We use the latest technology in textile restoration and our staff is trained in the latest procedures in cleaning and restoration.
Our professional service includes emergency site pack-outs, and emergency clothing for the insured to get by for 1-2 weeks, restored and delivered to their temporary residence within 72 hours.
Our commitment to restoration excellence includes the restoration of textiles damaged by the effects of fire, soot, oil spills, water damage, sewage backups, odour removal and blowbacks.

In 20015 we expanded again to include resorts and table linen cleaning for party and event companies, we have two 130 inch one flatwork ironers, state of the art new liquid feed detergents. We also installed a 160 gallon and a hot water tank that heats water from 30 degrees to 160 degrees in 45 minutes. We have invested in a third rinse water capture so the water can be used again in the first bath of the next load, in saving water and softening the effect on the environment.
